Rede Expressos buses leave from Sete Rios station in the centre of Lisbon. They travel throughout the week, including Sundays and public holidays, but with different timetables. In the following Google Maps you will find the route to the bus departure station.
The options at your disposal are: taxi, bus ( 705 – 744 – 783), metro. The choice is yours, of course, but we would like to recommend the metro that leaves directly from inside the city airport.
The journey time from Sete Rios station to Peniche is 1.35 h and the cost of the ticket is around 9 €. It may vary according to the number of seats available and the time of year. By booking online at the company’s website, you will always find updated information.

Service: Rodoviaria do Tejo
The other company available is the Rodoviaria do Tejo whose reference station in Lisbon is at Campo Grande station. As before, the options to reach this place are: taxi, bus number 783, metro. As you can see from Google Maps, getting to Campo Grande from the airport is more uncomfortable due to a more limited number of choices.
The easiest, most comfortable and fastest choice is bus 783 which will take you to your destination in about 30 minutes. We do not recommend the metro because it will take you on a very long outside tour that will take you a long time. At least 50 minutes.
The taxi is certainly the fastest option: about 10 minutes. The choice is yours.
Once you arrive at Campo Grande station, you will find an indication for buses whose tickets can be purchased online or directly on the car.
On the company’s website you will find the programme of weekly trips with timetables. The journey time is about 1.20 – 1.40h and the prices are between 9-10€.
